Follow up service to Developmental Edit
Service Description
Available to authors who have already completed a Developmental Edit session with us, this second round of edits is designed to review the areas that were revised from the original draft, and catch any additional inconsistencies or problem areas. This also serves to put the finishing touch on the line edits, and ensure the story is ready for copy edits. What's included: - Full read through of completed manuscript - Full annotation of manuscript pointing out trouble areas from both a developmental and line editing perspective - Critical evaluation of world building, character development, plot points, and pacing of the story - Post edit review session to discuss additional trouble areas that were noted and help address any questions you may have - Additional brainstorming and troubleshooting to help identify the best solutions for problem areas Please contact us at kara@phoenixedits.com with the word count and genre of your draft to confirm availability.
Additional Details
50% deposit required upon receipt of draft. Remaining 50% required when edited copy of draft is completed, prior to audio/video call. If service is cancelled within 48 hours of draft receipt, a full refund will be issued to the original form of payment. If you need to cancel after more than 48 hours, please reach out to us directly. Since we may have already started the editing process at this point, any refunded amount during this period will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Scheduling options for audio/video review sessions will be offered when edited copy is sent. Review session length is dependent on draft length.
